With a heart full of excitement, the Iraq international youth film festival for its first course has welcomed a number of many films produced by the Youngs which were registered to participate in documentary and narrative films competition from Arab and foreign countries in addition to the Iraqi films from within and outside the country of Iraq.

The number of films that were received through the festival website have reached (226) films included (narrative, documentary, moving art videos) and they were watched by a special selective committee worked on recommending the qualified films for the competition to be shown following the standards that were set by the festival.

The films subjects have varied between social humanity and original stories that reflect their producers’ desires to show their documentary and short narrative works with a manner that represent them and their vision in producing new stories that include creativity and advanced technics whether on the side of narrative or technics.

The films that took parts in the first short documentary and narrative films festival were selected according to a standard that the producer introduced its first produced film to compete on the festival prize and to select the short documentary and fiction according to the private and narrative standard.

Iraq international youth film festival in its first course seeks to strength the cinematic scene in Iraq and the region with what it provides from platform for the creative youth to show their special works in front of a wide specialist’s audience interested in cinema and films.

The final films list that will be released by the officials of Iraq international youth film festival and they will be judged by a committee that include a well-known actors and criticists that will choose the winning films according to intellectual and artistic standards, aim to praise the works that stands out the most.
